brands with its North American headquarters in Valencia ,
Calif. , Cunard has long fostered a connection
between the United Kingdom

Queen Victoria, and Queen Elizabeth enjoy British traditions as part of
legendary voyages, including white-gloved afternoon tea service, Royal Nights
themed formal balls and a traditional English pub.
“Once again, Cunard is pleased to
partake in the many celebratory BritWeek activities in Los Angeles ,” said Peter Shanks, president of
Cunard Line. “As one of the premier British-American cultural influencers in
the city, Cunard values the preservation of our cross-cultural ties through
special events such as this.”
BritWeek is the brainchild of
British television director and producer Nigel Lythgoe (“American Idol” and “So
You Think You Can Dance”) and former Los
Angeles British Consul General Bob Peirce, and wife
Sharon Harroun Peirce. Piers Morgan is the most recent honouree to join the
long list of British influencers who have participated. Past notables include
Sir Ben Kingsley, Dame Helen Mirren, Simon Cowell and Seal.
On a luxury

day, guests enjoy leisurely activities, including reading in the ships’
voluminous libraries, rejuvenating in world-class spas, and engaging in
Insights guest enrichment programmes. By night, guests can enjoy black tie
dinners, themed balls, West End-style productions and the Veuve Clicquot
champagne bar.
