TAM Airlines’ passengers who want
to travel to-and-from China
and Brazil
now have a faster and more comfortable route option.
With the expansion of the
codeshare agreement between TAM and Air China ,
passengers can now fly to-and-from Beijing and Brazil through Paris , with a connection at Charles de Gaulle
Airport, from where they will travel on flights of the Chinese airline.
TAM’s clients now have available
daily flights between São Paulo (Guarulhos ) and Paris , and
another five weekly services between Rio de Janeiro
(Galeão) and Paris .
As a result, the connection between Brazil
and other South American countries to-and-from China ,
and between China
and other Asian destinations, will be reinforced and improved.
Passengers can fly daily from São Paulo to Paris at 11.20
pm on JJ 8108, and connect with JJ 8384 (operated by Air China ) which
departs next day from Charles de Gaulle at 8.20 pm, landing in the Chinese
capital at 12.25 pm.
Passengers can also take flight JJ
8054 at 11.57 pm from Rio de Janeiro , five days
a week (except Wednesday and Saturday), to connect to Beijing
with flight JJ 8384 (operated by Air China )
from Paris .
A daily service departs Beijing as JJ 8383 (operated by Air China ) at 1.35 pm to land in the French capital
at 6.40 pm where it connects with TAM flight JJ 8101 to São
Paulo and five days a week (except Thursday and Sunday) to Rio de Janeiro with JJ
8055.
The new agreement with Air China
is aligned with TAM’s goals of expanding its presence in Asia, where the
airline already has a commercial office in Hong Kong (China), commercial
representations in South Korea, India, Thailand and Taiwan, as well as
management in China (Beijing and Shanghai) and Japan (Tokyo).
Prior to the expansion of the
codeshare agreement with Air China ,
which has been in existence since August 2009, TAM’s codeshare passengers
connected over Madrid ’s Barajas Airport .
TAM also shares flights with ANA
(All Nippon Airways), which offers clients the possibility of travelling to
other Asian destinations from Brazil
via Tokyo .
