EGYPTAIR and CTK Ghana Sign a MoU for Strategic


EGYPTAIR has today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ghanaian counterpart CTK Network Aviation (CTK), a leading Ghanaian airline, under which both sides will start materializing a project to promote air transportation expansion in West Africa.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Honorable Minister Samir Embaby, the Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation and the Honorable Minister Collins Dauda, the Ghanaian Minister of Transport and His Excellency Alhaji Saed Sinare Ghana Ambassador to Egypt and officials of both airlines. The signing took place at the Headquarters of the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation in Cairo.
Egypt is one of the pioneers in the field of civil aviation, and being part of the African continent, Egypt is proud to cooperate with the African airlines to enhance the Aviation industry in such a promising region. The matter which has full support and collaboration from governments and organizations in both Egypt and Ghana” said Samir Embaby, Egypt’s Minister of Civil Aviation.
Embaby added that “ EGYPTAIR, being the first airline in Africa, has a major role in developing the air transport industry in the continent through cooperation with African airlines to create a modern civil aviation systems that could serve best the African continent. EGYPTAIR in conjunction with CTK, have started today to put this plans into action”.
On his part, Honorable Collins Dauda, the Ghanaian Minister of Transport, said: “We in Ghana welcome this cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation which will yield numerous benefits not only for both countries but also for the other neighboring countries in West African region as well.”
He added that “Accra is now the hub of aviation and the preferred destination in the West Africa sub region. Signing this MoU is the first step for initiating a partnership between EGYPTAIR and CTK, whereof Accra airport will be used as a hub. “
In the meantime, both sides – EGYPTAIR and CTK airline – are in the process of activating this partnership as well as planning the operational schedules and the necessary marketing plans in the near future.
