Minister
Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister for Tourism & Culture said
that he was supporting the bid by France and the Island of La Reunion
to be the organisers of the next UN WTO’s Executive Council Meeting
set for May 2013.
“This
bid is not only a bid by the Island of la Reunion, but it is also one
for thegrouping of
the Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands “Minister Alain St.Ange said.
“Through La Reunion hosting the
Executive Committee Meeting of the UN WTO the Indian Ocean zone will
be showcased as will be the dynamic spirit of cooperation that exists
between the Seychelles, Mauritius, La Reunion, Madagascar, Mayotte
and the Comoros.
This
even, if held in La Reunion Island will also help to the development
of tourism of the region as a whole and will showcase the existing
regional and international cooperation that exists for the benefit of
the population of all the people of the islands of that important
region.
