Sydney
comes alive with hundreds of culinary experiences to explore
during the
annual Crave
Sydney International Food Festival.
Crave
Sydney is a month-long celebration of the city’s food scene, as
well as premium local produce from regional New
South Wales. Food lovers can cram their calendars with
amazing dinner dates, sip fabulous cocktails, explore Sydney’s
small bars and vibrant food precincts throughout October.
The
festival offers something for everyone - large scale food events,
intimate dinners cooked by some of the world’s leading chefs,
authentic food experiences in Sydney’s culturally diverse suburbs
and family activities.
The
World Chef Showcase brings more than 25 world class chefs and food
personalities together for a weekend to share their culinary talents
and tales with a specific food focus.

The
festival starts with a sizzle during Barbecue Madness, as chefs and
food producers fire up the coals. Sydney shows off the great Aussie
tradition with brilliant barbecues across the city, including a fresh
produced themed extravaganza at The Sydney
Morning Herald Growers’ Market.
Hyde
Park is transformed into an authentic Asian hawker-style market,
with noodles, dumplings, desserts and more during the Night
Noodle Markets.
This major highlight of the festival brings together dozens of
fabulous food stalls, bars and live entertainment on weeknights
throughout October.
Breakfast at
Bondi returns this year, with music, food, surf and celebrity chefs
for 5000 Sydneysiders and visitors as the sun comes up.
Crave
Sydney offers the opportunity to sample the
best Sydney and regional restaurants too, through the popular Let’s
Do Lunch event, quirky Hats Off dinners as well as special late-night
Sugar Hit dessert treats.
Make
a meal of it and visit regional New South Wales to sample fresh
produce during the Festival. Check out local specialties and meet the
producers through produce tours, farmers’ markets and the
glorious 100 Mile Meals series across the state.
