Pegasus Airlines codeshares with KLM

Pegasus Airlines of Turkey and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines today announced that they have signed a codeshare agreement. 
According to the agreement, ticket sales will start from May 27 and travel can start as of June 3rd, 2013. 
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines which flies to Istanbul’s Atatürk Airport, will have the chance to fly Istanbul’s second airport; Sabiha Gökçen Airport due to the new codeshare with Pegasus Airlines. Passengers can also fly directly to Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
Travelers can fly with one ticket to United States or Canada thanks to our new codeshare agreement with KLM,” said Güliz Öztürk; Senior Vice President – Commercial of Pegasus Airlines at today’s press conference held at Netherlands Consulate General in Istanbul.
The agreement enables KLM to market under KLM flight numbers flights between Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen airport and Amsterdam, and flights between Izmir and Amsterdam, for connections to any of the 150 destinations on the KLM network.
KLM is also aiming for more customers from Turkey. “We hope to find a lot of KLM customers on Pegasus flights in the domestic market, Turkey. We see a figure of additional 40,000 to 50,000 passengers on a yearly basis,” Pieter Bootsma, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Revenue Management & Network for Air France and KLM.
