Do you enjoy rail journeys? It's easier to search and book on Italian trains online thanks to a new partnership between train travel search-and-booking engine loco2.com and Italian rail operator, Trenitalia. Users can now book Italian trains online quickly and easily with no need for physical tickets.
For the first time users can compare and combine tickets from six major European rail operators, booking journeys such as London to Rome, Nice to Venice or Berlin to Florence in one simple transaction. !
The new service from Loco2 will be launched next Tuesday, 3 March. Registered users can preview the service from today at https://loco2.com/italian-rail
Customers can purchase tickets for a wide range of Italian trains, including the high-speed Frecciarossa, Frecciargento and international services, such as the new direct Thello service between Marseille and Milan, which launched in December. The full range of promotional offers is available, including Super Economy, with discounts of up to 60 per cent. For medium and long-distance trains, travellers simply present a ticket reference on the train, with no printing required. !
This is Loco2’s sixth booking system integration, following France (SNCF), Germany (Deutsche Bahn), Spain (Renfe), the UK (ATOC/National Rail) and Italo, an alternative high-speed rail operator in Italy. The addition of Trenitalia means that customers can book journeys throughout Europe to Italian destinations, and consolidates Loco2’s position as the provider with the most comprehensive online ticket coverage.
