ATLANTA—InterContinental Hotels Group has signed a 251-room Crowne Plaza hotel in New York City. The property is scheduled to open in 2017, and IHG will manage on behalf of the owner, LRR Holdings, LLC.
Lance Steinberg and Frank Chan are the majority shareholders of LRR Holdings, LLC. They also own two EVEN Hotel properties that are currently under construction in New York, with the first to open this year on 35th St.

The Crowne Plaza hotel on 36th St. will offer the brand's "Always On" enhancements focus on connectivity, productivity and wellness, such as a single Internet sign-on; reliable and free WiFi; easy access to power outlets and charging devices in the guest rooms; and an Energy Essentials Wellness Station in the hotel lobby with healthy snacks and drinks. The new-build property will also feature an 80-foot glass atrium at the entrance, flexible meeting space, a state-of-the-art fitness facility and standalone restaurant and bar concept.
Situated in Manhattan's Garment District and next to Times Square South, the hotel is located in the heart of the neighborhood's rooftop bars and lounges and fashion boutiques.

IHG currently has 25 hotels open in the New York City market across seven of its brands, including two Crowne Plaza hotels in Times Square and at the JFK Airport, and another 16 hotels in the pipeline.
