Crystal Thanksgiving cruises serve up Caribbean and Mediterranean culture

The world’s leading luxury cruise line is inviting travelers to “give thanks” on board this Thanksgiving, with two ultra-luxury voyages that capture the tranquility and adventure of the Caribbean and romance and culture of the Mediterranean, while still offering the customary celebration of the traditional North American holiday.

Crystal Cruises’ November 14 and November 22 cruises aboard Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, respectively, provide travelers with a stunning change of scenery for the holiday, without the need to sacrifice the feast or quality time with family.  Both sailings feature enticing savings for families of virtually all sizes – from free third berths for kids age 17 and under to the line’s popular Crystal Family Memories Program, which includes perks for groups and families of six or more, plus extras for families of 10 or more sailing together.

“Any holiday is made extra special when celebrated on a Crystal voyage,” says Crystal President & CEO Edie Rodriguez.  “We believe that travel, like Thanksgiving itself, has a way of bringing people and families closer together; we love when our guests choose to not only spend the holiday with their own friends and families, but with ours, too.”

Crystal’s Thanksgiving voyages for 2015 include:

November 14, Round-trip Miami on Crystal Symphony (14 days)

Active, intrepid travelers can indulge in white-sanded beaches, clear blue waters and warm sunsets of the Caribbean in exchange for the crisp cool autumn air further north. The “Caribbean Cornucopia” sailing calls in Cozumel, Mexico; Jamaica/Montego Bay; Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; Grand Cayman; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; St. Barts, French West Indies; St. Kitts, West Indies; and Grand Turk/Turks & Caicos.  The islands lend themselves naturally to intrepid endeavors like rugged ATV exploration, ziplining, kayaking, deep sea fishing, scuba experiences for all levels of expertise, plus cultural pursuits that explore ancient Mayan ruins and countless local flavors.

November 22, Monte Carlo to Marseille on Crystal Serenity (7 days)

Foodies and history buffs alike will revel in the legendary sites featured on the “Renaissance Rendezvous” sailing.  Beginning with an overnight in grand Monte Carlo, the voyage calls in Genoa, Florence/Livorno, Rome/Civitavecchia and Naples, Italy; and Corsica/Ajaccio, France before disembarking in Marseille. Beauty, both past and present, is all around with shore-side experiences featuring visits to Ferragamo & Gucci Museums, the famed Uffizi Gallery and a behind-the-scenes look at the Monte Carlo Ballet.

On board, guests can savor Crystal’s acclaimed service and cuisine, with a gourmet Thanksgiving turkey feast, including traditional trimmings such as butternut squash soup drizzled with pumpkin seed oil, roasted turkey with apple sage dressing, sweet potato praline, cider giblet gravy and traditional pumpkin and pecan pies.

Until June 30, all-inclusive “Book Now” cruise fares start at just $3,970 per person for the November 14 sailing; $1,895 per person for the November 22 sailing.
