Tourists and beachgoers at the Costa Del Sol in Spain had to endure panic attacks as a grown up shark got discovered in the shallow water of the holiday resort.
The popular Fuengirola beach had to be closed for five hours as the coastguards were searching for the shark. The lifeguards on jet ski had to pull the terrified swimmers out of the water just as the news of the sighting came.
Even though the coastguards tried their level best to find the shark, still they did not manage to uncover it. The beach was reopened for the tourists around 5 pm local time on 28th August.
Thousands of tourists were soaking the sunrays on the beach of Costa del Sol on Sunday, 28th August. According to the tourists, it was like a scene from the famous movie ‘Jaws’.
Even after the authorities cleared the beach, the holiday makers were not feeling brave enough to enter the water. According to the authorities, the sighting might be a false alarm.
In May’16, a shark was filmed near the same beach by the locals.
