Delta and Porsche are leveraging their partnership in support of the fight against breast cancer this month with pink-wrapped Porsches serving customers at John F. Kennedy International Airport.
For the second year in a row, Porsche has supported Delta in its month-long campaign to raise awareness and money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The pink Porsche has helped connect customers from point A to point B throughout the month, while showcasing the airline and its partners’ commitment to a cure.
Delta first launched a trial program to help transfer its Diamond Medallion customers between flights using a fleet of Porsche vehicles at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in 2011. The program has since expanded to eight stations across the system.

The service cannot be requested or reserved, but is provided to customers based on flight operations, connection times between flights and a Diamond Medallion member’s status in the SkyMiles program. Delta’s Elite Services team greets customers at the aircraft boarding door and escorts them with their baggage to an awaiting vehicle to transfer them to their connecting flight.
Delta employees, customers and their friends and families have raised $11 million for BCRF since 2005, including last year’s efforts of $1.75 million. The collective contributions have funded the vital work of 44 different research projects over the years in the pursuit of eradicating breast cancer.
Delta employee and customer-donated monies are fully funding seven BCRF research grants in the 2016-2017 year. These projects span London, Australia, New Zealand, Paris, New York, Seattle, Michigan, California and Indiana.
With just six days left in the month, Delta people continue to wear pink uniforms and sell pink products, including pink lemonade and headsets, on board and in Delta Sky Clubs, to raise awareness and meet funding goals. Sales of the airline's pink products will benefit BCRF.
