Doing more together for optimal results
With representatives in both Beijing and Shanghai, the Alliance already ensures that Quebec's culture, nature, large cities and regions are represented in China under the name QuebecOriginal. Mandated by the Minister of Tourism to promote Quebec as a leisure destination in foreign markets, the Alliance is confident in Quebec's tourism businesses and stakeholders' ability to charm in China, currently the 10th largest non-Quebec market for tourism spending.
"It is with great humility that we begin these collaborations with Tuniu and Ctrip," said Martin Soucy, President and CEO of the Alliance. "The data and expertise of our new partners will help us refine our knowledge of Chinese customers. We will be able to propel the offers of experiences that will make the difference to win the heart of the Chinese traveller. Through our participation in Minister Boulet's mission, we are laying the foundation for long-term strategic cooperation relations in order to increase arrivals to Quebec from China. "
The Quebec Government is proud to be able to contribute actively to making Quebec a destination of choice. Its efforts to create the winning conditions for a strong tourism destination will continue post mission. basin "China is the largest pool of potential tourists in the world. It is essential to take advantage of the new daily air link between Montreal and Shanghai to promote Quebec and thereby attract more Chinese tourists. To achieve this, we must ensure that we have the tourism infrastructure necessary to meet the expectations and needs of this clientele whose economic benefits are significant," said Tourism Minister Julie Boulet.
