Ει βούλει καλώς ακούειν, μάθε καλώς λέγειν, μαθών δε καλώς λέγειν, πειρώ καλώς πράττειν, και ούτω καρπώση το καλώς ακούειν. (Επίκτητος)

The number of Brazilians with an excess of R$1million (US$300,000) in investments grew by over 17,000 in 2017, an increase of 5% year on year. In January 2018 alone, Brazilians spent $2 billion on trips abroad - 26.7% higher than in the same period of last year.
High-spending Brazilians love to travel to celebrate - as of February 22, they had already spent US $1.1 billion on trips to other countries.
In May 2018, the world’s leading event organiser Reed Exhibitions introduces ILTM Latin America to São Paulo.  ILTM is a portfolio of luxury travel events across the world where the most elite of luxury travel suppliers meet with the high-end travel agents to help them create incredible itineraries for their clients.  Established over 15 years ago, meetings at ILTM events continue to generate hundreds of millions of dollars in sales for luxury travel brands globally.
Taking place 8 – 11 May at Bienal Pavilion in São Paulo, ILTM Latin America – previously known as Travelweek Sao Paulo – will reach not just agents representing Brazilian clients but Latin America’s wealthiest: choosing their guests from 12 regional countries as well as 25 cities across Brazil.
New Brazilian investors emerged from the following locations:
Sao Paulo +2.2%
Rio de Janeiro +6,9%
Minas Gerais & Espirto Santo +6.9%
South +7%
Centre +13%
Northeast +7.1%
North +7.4%
Economist Marcos Troyjo, co-director of BRICLab at Columbia University will address ‘The Future of Your Business in LATAM’ at the Opening Forum of ILTM Latin America on 8 May at Palácio Tangará.  Observing that no country in the world grew as much as Brazil in the 20th century, he describes São Paulo’s specific motto as “non ducor, duco (I am not led, I lead)”, highlighting the fact that all major multinationals have their Brazil offices in São Paulo and its inhabitants’ use of cell phones is greater than that of the people of Mumbai.
Simon Mayle, ILTM Latin America Event Director comments, “With more helicopter pads than New York, the region’s wealthy are drawn to São Paulo.  It is the perfect backdrop and home to ILTM Latin America to which we welcome the most productive luxury travel buyers from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.  From Sao Paulo, they can literally travel the world in 4 days, spending millions of dollars on behalf of their clients.”
